Hi, everyone! I’m Renee Wells and I have a passion for baking which, regrettably, I have pursued late.
I grew up watching my parents bake. As kids, we eagerly count the days leading up to holidays, birthdays and special occasions. It was during those times that baked treats would fill our table.
My parents did not take their skills further. But, that is how my interest started.
My father taught me basic baking skills when I was in high school. Back then, we didn’t have fancy baking tools. No electric mixer, just a mixing spoon.
I vividly remember my father beating egg whites for a chiffon cake with a fork. But my! He always managed to get those lovely peaks.
Then, I was on my own. Had a job, got married, and had kids. There was barely time to bake.
During the few times I did some baking, I love watching my kids devour the cookies and chocolate cake they love.
Fast forward, my little ones have grown and are not as rambunctious. I have left my job and have time to pursue baking seriously.
I still use my old, but reliable hand mixer, and although it does the job, I’d like the ease and convenience a stand mixer offers.
Now, we have all sorts of baking tools and appliances: bread makers, pizza makers, food processors, all sorts of cookie cutters, and so much more.
I decided to build this website to share with you what I found and discovered about the many different stand mixers, equipment and tools for baking. There are so many different types out there with varying functions. One has to consider a number of factors…budget, capacity, functionality, reliability, durability, etc. I hope that the information on this site will help you understand them better, and enable you to make the best choice for your needs.
I’m also excited to share my baking via “Recipes” and baking tools I find that has made baking more enjoyable; plus baking tips, tricks and hacks I discovered in my baking journey.
